About the Adelaide Cup
The Adelaide Cup is South Australia's premier Group 1, staged at Angle Park under lights as the centrepiece of the SA calendar. It brings together the state's best greyhounds and the occasional interstate raider for one of racing's most passionate provincial crowds.
How to punt the Adelaide Cup
SA fields are smaller than their eastern counterparts, so the Cup often attracts short-priced favourites — the value usually sits in exotics. Follow the dominant Angle Park kennels through the spring; the Cup typically goes to a dog with a long winning streak at the venue rather than a classy visitor.
